My method

Qi, coherence,
and self-healing

I am an initiator. Your horse completes the healing by itself.

I

Vet first — always

Modern veterinary medicine has precise instruments. A vet can identify exactly where something goes wrong. I always recommend seeing a vet first. Energy healing is not a replacement for medical care — it is a complement when the healing is incomplete, or when something lingers that instruments cannot find.

II

Reading the horse

Every session begins with listening. Not to what I expect to find — but to what the horse is telling me. I use a combination of bodywork and energy reading, following the horse's own signals. Horses communicate through energy far more than we realise. A tense back, a reactive shoulder, a horse that won't settle — these are conversations.

III

Working with Qi

My healing comes from Qi — the concept of energy flow in Chinese medicine. Every living being has Qi: humans, horses, plants. When Qi is blocked or weakened — through wrong movement, diet, or stress — it shows as pain, illness, or tension. I use my own Qi to meet the disturbed Qi in the horse and gently guide it back to its natural frequency.

Every part of the body has its own frequency. When that frequency falls out of tune, it manifests physically. A stable, coherent frequency can bring an out-of-tune frequency back into alignment. This is not metaphor — it is the physical principle of coherence.

IV

The horse heals itself

This is the part that surprises people most. After a session, you will often see the horse yawn, rub its nose, or become deeply relaxed. This is release — the horse's own system taking over and completing the work. The healing does not stop when I leave. The horse's body continues self-healing for hours, sometimes days.

V

You learn to do this too

The most distinctive part of how I work: I teach you. Horse welfare is a daily responsibility, not a monthly appointment. Every session can become a workshop in which you learn the same techniques for your own horse. You already have energy. A healthy person — in body and mind — can learn to use it. It may take longer than a trained practitioner, but you can do it.

The science behind it

How it works in physical terms

Biofield

Every living organism generates a measurable electromagnetic field — a biofield. This field carries information about the state of the body, and interacts with the fields of those nearby. Horse and human biofields can literally influence each other.

HRV coherence

Heart rate variability (HRV) reflects the nervous system's flexibility. Research shows that when horse and human are in proximity with calm, intentional focus, their HRV patterns can synchronise. The calm practitioner influences the horse's nervous system directly.

Frequency coherence

Each tissue in the body has a natural resonant frequency. Pain and inflammation often represent frequency disruption. A stable, coherent frequency field — the principle behind many energy therapies — can support the body in returning to its own natural resonance.

Questions & answers

What to expect

I start by listening to you and to your horse. I ask about your horse's history, what you have noticed, and what the vet has already found or treated. Then I observe the horse quietly before beginning any bodywork or energy work. Sessions take 60 minutes, and I always leave time at the end to share what I noticed and what you can try between sessions.
For acute issues, one or two sessions are often enough. For long-standing, chronic, or behavioural problems, I recommend a series of three to five sessions spaced two to three weeks apart. Every horse is different, and I will give you an honest assessment after the first session.
Always. I never advise stopping veterinary treatment. If I notice something that needs veterinary attention, I will tell you clearly. Energy work complements conventional care - it does not replace it. Please keep your vet informed that you are exploring this work alongside their treatment.
Yes - and I actively encourage it. Every session can include a teaching component where you practise alongside me. For those who want to go deeper, I offer dedicated workshops for horse owners. No previous experience with energy work is needed. What matters most is that you are calm, present, and genuinely connected to your horse.
I come to you - at your stable, wherever your horse feels most comfortable and familiar. Working in the horse's own environment matters a great deal for the quality of the session. I currently work throughout the Netherlands.

Want to deepen your own energy work? Meditation and Qigong practice can help you develop the sensitivity and calm that makes this work possible. Empower Mindfulness offers courses for exactly this.
