About me

Aling Wu

Energy Healer · Meditation Teacher · Horse Lover

I grew up with a deep belief in the connection between living beings — that what we carry in our bodies, how we feel, and how we move through the world has a direct effect on everyone around us. This was true for me long before I had the language to explain it.

My background is in meditation and Qigong, rooted in the Chinese understanding of Qi: the life energy that flows through all living things. Over many years I studied how energy moves through the body, how it becomes blocked or depleted, and how to restore it. At some point I began to understand that exactly the same principles apply to horses.

Horses are exceptional energy teachers. They do not lie, they do not perform, and they have no patience for pretence. If your energy is anxious, they will be anxious. If you are calm and grounded, they settle. Working with horses has made me a better practitioner — and this work has made me a better horse person.

I work throughout the Netherlands, travelling to your stable wherever your horse feels most at home. I also teach: every session can include a teaching component, so you leave not just with a more comfortable horse, but with skills you can use every single day.

Alongside the horse practice, I run Empower Mindfulness — a meditation teaching practice that helps people develop the inner calm and sensitivity that makes this kind of work possible.

How this began

This practice began with my own horse — Billy. When he went lame and conventional treatment had done what it could, I began working with him using the Qi I had developed through years of meditation practice. He recovered. Over time we used the same approach to address more and more issues: head shaking, chronic pain, an off-centred tail, and others that had no clear conventional diagnosis. I did not plan to become a horse energy healer — but I understood in that moment that what I had built in myself through years of practice could genuinely be offered to others.

Billy today— he is back to an active and naughty boy.

My philosophy

The horse completes
its own healing.

I think of myself as an initiator, not a healer in the traditional sense. I bring stable, coherent energy into contact with what is out of balance in the horse — and then I step back and let the horse's own system do the work. After a session you will often see the horse yawn deeply, release tension from the jaw, or become very still. That is the body completing what was started.
